LESET intends to address in a simple and fast way current Lean engagement of a company, based on the Lean Product Development best practices and process. LESET also intends to substantiate strategic decisions on which area or process the company should invest, in order to improve customer’s satisfaction and reduce production and process waste. It all starts by scoring the aspects in a 0-5 scale for each individual criteria based on current companies engagement to the considered factor. The 5 criteria means “excellence” and the 0 one, means “unqualified” considering the companies engagement to the evaluated Lean aspect. After the qualitative evaluation, the LI (Lean Index) is calculated and the Lean Engagement Level Diagnosis and recommendations/ countermeasures are provided according to the respective current state for each considered factor, composing the Lean roadmap for the assessed company. The LI is divided into the following levels: Engagement OK; Engagement to Improve; and Engagement NOK. LESET provides countermeasures for the enterprises diagnosed as “Engagement to Improve” or “Engagement NOK for each considered Lean element.
